tnmynatt
The jury is still out. Ever heard of an infection causing an SUV of 8.2? My dad has a bacterial infection that is very active. This could be the MAC (mycobacterium avium complex) or LC. We are getting the opinions of a couple of other doctors. I'm heading back to TN running from Ernesto. Thanks for all the prayers. Please keep them coming. Take care. Ry: sorry I didn't ask for a pass. How much do I owe you? Blessings.
KatieB
Prayers still coming your way that it is something other than LC, and that can be treated successfully and quickly. Keep us posted!

tnmynatt
Thanks for all your prayers. One of the other doctors (he was Charlie's pulm.) thinks it may just be infection. His advice is do nothing and see how it looks once the antibiotics have more time to work. It's all very tricky with my dad's age, the other infection and his severe/fragile diabetes.... Andrea
Tina, I don't know much about uptake degrees, but I did ask two different peopole yest (radiologist and pulmonologist) if an infection can s how up on a PET and make it inconclusive. Both said yes, which is why my dad's was cancelled. I hope it is an infection for your dad!! Keep us posted

KatieB
Infection (as crazy as this sounds) sounds good to me too. If it has to be anything, I'm praying for that! And for the antibiotics to work quickly!!
