Guest LisainFlorida Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 It has been awhile since I have posted. This all started in early May and I have yet to get a definate diagnosis of LC. The surgery was scheduled in July and my pulmonary doc called to say that my bronchoscopy results grew a bacteria. He was sure this was the cause of my nodules. He thought I had a bacteria infection called pulmonary mac. Unfortunately, the results came back as a different RARE bacteria called mycobacterium interjectum. My infectious disease doc says he has heard of it but has never treated it. They say they doubt this is the reason for my nodules. Also, this bacteria is very slow growing and in two months my nodules grew and I also have a new one in my right lung. The thoracic surgeon is going to take out several of my nodules for biopsy. I will be glad when it is over so that I will know for sure what I am facing. Say a prayer for me on the 19th. I will keep everyone updated. Ceff Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 I've also been on the nodule rollercoaster--my pulmonologist is going to do another CT in 3 months to see if there's any changes.
