Your insurance should help pay for this if it is ordered by a physician. The home health company will tell you how many visits etc. will be covered.

Well, what is VNS? I know that my mom had private insurance and yes, it is nearly impossible to get a home health aide. I won't lie to you. My mom was bedridden, but she still wanted showers, so we lifted her. It took 3 of us, and we still did not qualify for a home health aide. It was worth it though if you can gather the help from friends, family, anyone who can help you guys. We eventually did have to hire someone private to be here while I was working bc SF could not handle things alone. He paid out of pocket for it and it was not cheap, but less than a nursing home or something...
