LUNGEVITY FOUNDATION FURTHERS ITS SUPPORT

OF LUNG CANCER SURVIVORS

CHICAGO -- The LUNGevity Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of the 170,000 Americans newly diagnosed with lung cancer each year; has merged with the Lung Cancer Support Community (LCSC), an online network dedicated to providing support to those diagnosed with lung cancer and their family members.

LCSC offers online support from a committed group of volunteers, including lung cancer survivors, family members, caregivers, as well as medical professionals and experts. The network also provides news on medical developments and lung cancer advocacy opportunities.

“By supporting LCSC, LUNGevity is able to further its support of lung cancer survivors – from their medical to emotional needs,” said Robert Marovich, executive director of the LUNGevity Foundation.

In the past six years, LUNGevity has established itself as the leader in private research dollars raised and spent on lung cancer, raising more than $2.7 million to fund innovative lung cancer research projects at the foremost cancer centers in America.
