kreed70 Posted October 25, 2006 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Hi everyone~ My mom was taken off Tarceva due to progression. She will be getting Alimta every 3 weeks. I see a mixed bag on here of people getting a mixture of both or one or the other. Does anyone have any info on one over the other or the mixture?? Researcher Randy- Ya got anything good for me??? Ry Posted October 25, 2006 Share Posted October 25, 2006 John did both. He started with Alimta when the Tarceva failed and is now on Avastin. The Alimta is much harsher than the Avastin-- don't be afraid to ask for a break after treatment 4 or so if she needs it. j ross Posted October 25, 2006 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Barry is currently on both. 3 treatments so far. Last scan showed shrinkage. Feels under the weather about the third day after treatment, this lasts approximately a week lessening all the time. Currently working and feeling fit and ok.
