Don Wood
Have you ever heard a song over and over again and thought you heard the lyrics right, only to discover one day, a particular line was wrong in your thinking? And it brought a chuckle? I thought it would be fun to share those. One that comes to mind immediately is Credence Clearwater Revival"s "Bad Moon on the Rise". For the longest time, I thought the line "there's a bad moon on the rise" was "there's a bathroom on the right"!
Linda661
Well, I was a big Elton John fan some years ago and I just loved "Bennie and The Jets." For the longest time I thought the line "she's got electric boots, a mohair suit" was she's got electric boobs, a nowhere suit! (happen to know I'm not alone in that one either! )
Sis
Don... I always thought it was "There's a bad mood on the right"!!
ginnyde
OMG, really old. Patti Page. It says leave your 'fickle past' behind you and I thought it said leave your 'pickle patch' behind you. What the heck is a pickle patch anyway????
Suzie Q
Ok, Ok. My mom thought it was, "Doctor, doctor, fruit of the loom..." not "Doctor, doctor, give me the news..."
J.C.
Mike was working with a friend and his name was Felix, so we were sure the song was for him........... Feelings we found out was the naame of the song. Jackie
kamataca
Not quite a lyric, but Mom thought the Band "Hall & Oates" was named "Haulin' Oats". She thought it was a very dumb name! Kelly
