I am new to this kind of support, even though I have been dealing w/ the loss of my mother for 14 yrs. I was 13 when my mother Beverly died of lung cancer, after a 2.5 yr battle. I was never encouraged to seek support outside of family. However, as my wedding approaches I find myself in desperate need of support and encouragement from people who understand what I have been through.

Welcome Aimee.

I can understand you, I also lost my mother of LC at a young age (not as young as you.. I was 24, and I'm now 26). Don't hesitate to ask support on this board, people are very helpful. :-)

Hi Aimee,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother...

I'm a mother to 3 children and even in your loss...remember that a childs happiness is every mother's greatest wish...

Like Oprah says, "I feel the pain and then I keep on moving..." something like that....

Congratulations...on your upcoming happiness...

Everyone here is here for you....

Love,

Tracey Huguley
