Hello everyone. I just recently found this wonderful community and thought I would introduce myself. I’m 45 and I lost my mom (and best friend) to lung cancer several years ago, 1987 to be exact. At the time of her diagnosis in April of ’86, the cancer had metastasized into both lungs and was inoperable. Over the next several months, she went through a series of chemotherapy treatments, all the while maintaining a courageous and positive attitude. Sadly, we lost her on August 5, 1987.

I hope I can be of some support here to others who have been impacted by LC.

Susan

WOW!! I am glad to meet you. So many things have changed since then. The medical field is researching so many new options since 1987. Welcome and am sorry we have to meet this way. CLick here for one of my personal favorite links about losing someone to this disease;

I watch this when I get the blues about losing My wife and It helps.

Many prayers for you and your Family and Welcome
