shirleysgirl Posted November 13, 2006 Share Posted November 13, 2006 Hello everyone. I just recently found this wonderful community and thought I would introduce myself. I’m 45 and I lost my mom (and best friend) to lung cancer several years ago, 1987 to be exact. At the time of her diagnosis in April of ’86, the cancer had metastasized into both lungs and was inoperable. Over the next several months, she went through a series of chemotherapy treatments, all the while maintaining a courageous and positive attitude. Sadly, we lost her on August 5, 1987. Welcome and am sorry we have to meet this way.
