I just wanted to let MSNBC, Mike Taibbi and Keith Olbermann know that I really appreciated the segment on 11/16/06 regarding quitting smoking, spiral CT scans and lung cancer. I know that I speak for many survivors, caregivers, medical professionals and all of those who have been touched by lung cancer. My mom has stage IV lung cancer and has been fighting it for 2 1/2 years. She smoked for 45 years!! One of the most medically responsible things I have heard in a long time was Mike Taibbi stressing that for right now he is fine. I think too many people get a clean bill of health and keep smoking until it's too late. Lung cancer kills more Americans per year than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined!!! More non-smoking women are being diagnosed and it may possibly estrogen related. There is so much info out there that can be used to educate Americans! Thank you again!!!
