lc46 Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Well Good News Here Today. My Moms Tumor has shrunk from 9x8 Cm to 2x1 Cm. I must say we are estatic. She started her 3rd round today and they upped it back up the 20% that they took away from the last round because of her white count. Her counts are up, she is tolerating chemo extremely well, her spirits are up and I must say this is the best Thanksgiving of my life. We sat next to another woman today waiting for chemo who is going on 2 years in April with Extensive Small Cell (and she still smokes ) so that also gave my Mom lots of hope. I hope to be back soon to report more good news for Christmas!!! Take Care Everyone. Dar Quote

daggiesmom Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 That is truly wonderful shrinkage! I'm sure she's feeling better. I remember having a big shrink number too (don't remember exactly the number, but it was dramatic) after the first two sessions. Everyone was delighted. Please give your Mom a "Hip, Hip Hooray" from me. Joanie ((())) Quote

lc46 Posted November 30, 2006 Author Posted November 30, 2006 (justme2007) Hi-yes please get your Mom to continue with her chemo & tell her these inspiring stories. There was a woman sitting next to us yesterday who is going on 2 years with small cell (and she still smokes). Just think what our Mom's would miss out on if they chose no treatment and could live another 2 years or more. Who knows what kind of new treatments could be found also. Take Care Dar Quote
sharonjo Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Dar, Terrific news! Hope this trend continues for mom. Sharon Quote
