NED is a cancer patient's favorite abbreviation -- not because it's my nickname, but because it stands for "no evidence of disease" on a test report.

PCI is "prophylactic cranial (head) irradiation," but someone else will need to fill you in on the rest (I haven't had/needed it).

Welcome to a wonderful group! Give us the details of your husband's condition when you get a chance. Aloha,

NED is No Evidence of Disease (however, this was never used in my dad's case. We were told remission.)

PCI - My dad had this, and it was a personal and difficult choice to make. My dad is older, so we decided it was a good option. Others on the board are skeptical, for reasons that I understand completely.

I look forward to hearing your story. Please know you have my prayers.
