ladyhawk
Hello all, I'm sorry I don't have time right now to tell my story (husband has sclc). I have been reading some of the posts and need to know what does NED mean and what is PCI? Thanks, and will fill you in soon. Lorna
recce101
Lorna: NED is a cancer patient's favorite abbreviation -- not because it's my nickname, but because it stands for "no evidence of disease" on a test report. PCI is "prophylactic cranial (head) irradiation," but someone else will need to fill you in on the rest (I haven't had/needed it). Welcome to a wonderful group! Give us the details of your husband's condition when you get a chance. Aloha, Ned
ladyhawk
Ahhh! Thanks to both of you. Was too stupid to try the glossary.
ztweb
NED is No Evidence of Disease (however, this was never used in my dad's case. We were told remission.) PCI - My dad had this, and it was a personal and difficult choice to make. My dad is older, so we decided it was a good option. Others on the board are skeptical, for reasons that I understand completely. I look forward to hearing your story. Please know you have my prayers.
