Kasey
"When I come here I am comforted by those of you who are the caregivers. I am filled with hope by those of you who are surviving and thriving. I receive courage from those of you fighting the hard fight at the moment. Finally I get the sense of family, of people who understand and care and support in ways those not here cannot do." Those words I posted in My Story almost 2 years ago. I first came to this site in November '04. When I did, I looked to ALL here for support. I meant those words about being comforted by the caregivers. Now, sadly, some of those 'friends' of mine from there find the need to be in THIS forum. And I come here looking for them. Some are not here very often.....and I MISS them. IMHO I believe the very SPECIAL people we find in the Caregiver and Grieving forums can offer a very needed perspective some us cannot see. So to ALL of you I say THANK YOU many times over. This poster seeks you out and truly misses you when you are absent. I offer my own invitation to remain here to support me......for indeed I find comfort in your words. stand4hope
Thank you, Kasey. I'm sorry I've left and not been here for you lately. You've had some rough times. I have read and wept about them all. I'm afraid I've been all down and out and smothering in my own problems, and just too depressed to help anyone else. Every time I came here, every single bad news report and even good news reports made me cry. I even cried looking at Don Wood's new grandchild. Sometimes I just cried reading the title of a post. I just couldn't write anything positive, helpful, or encouraging. Anyway, my friend, your words here were so sweet and I know your heart, and I know your heart was in every single word you typed. God bless you, sweet Kasey. You know I'm here if you need me. Love, Peggy

Don Wood
Beautifully said, but not all of us can stay. Some of us need to leave in order to move on. I support both those who stay because they can, and those who leave because they must. Don
kamataca
Beautifully said, Don. I thank you all for the guidance you have given me. From many of you I have learned that sometimes cancer has the last word, but that does not mean that it ever 'wins.' So many stories of courage and love can not be erased. Maryanne
Hi Kasey, So well said and I agree. I do miss so many here who found the strength they needed to move on. But yes, I do miss them also. And for those who stay and give support, you are guardian angels. Thanks for this post Kasey, Maryanne
