raneyf
Has anyone had their port put in after starting Avastin? My surgeon is concerned about the wound healing since I'm already on Avastin? Any info would be great. Thanks, Raney
recce101
Raney: I answered your PM on this question a few minutes ago. After others have responded you're welcome to post any part of my PM you think may be helpful to others. Three cheers for ports and Avastin! wendyr
Hi: I can't address the port issue with Avastin but my husband is also on Avastin. He has had some bleeding from superficial wounds (more than normal for him) and is experiencing severe joint & bone pain. Have you had that side effect. Thanks....Wendy
raneyf
I haven't had any bleeding other than a bit from my nose when I blow it. Also, I'm still doing chemo with the Avastin, so I don't know what's causing what, but I'd say I'm only mildly achy a few days after chemo. I also took Tarceva and didn't have anything other than the diarrhea and rash from that. Sorry I'm not more help. Raney
