Hello all updated my profile with sister's permission. I want the Monitors to know that smittypi is her daughter-in-law. My Sister is getting stronger but is having a hard time with nausia. How can I help her? I give her herbal tea-ginger based but with many other types too. Any suggestions?

Baillor,

Welcome to the boards. It sounds like you and your sis are super close. Please know you have our prayers for recovery and peace.

You mentioned that the nausea is bad. My dad found that if he had something/anything in his tummy it was way better than getting too hungry. He kept pretzels at his bedside to fend it off. Obviously, he also took whatever meds he could to make it better.

Best of luck ... and God bless,

Jen

Yes we are very close, especially since she is 17 tears my senior. I try to get her to eat something when she has nausia, but you know how hard that can be. appreciate your prayers Lori

Regarding your sister's nausea:

Probably dumb of me to say this, but I assume your sister's getting the Zofran before they administer the chemicals? And does she have Zofran and/or Prochlorperazine in pill form for when she's at home?

HI thanks for the reply. She takes Reglan. Her last Chemo was done around 6 weeks ago. Cat Scan tomorrow on her lungs and stomach. Everytime she thinks about it she gets sick. Coughing a big problem, but no solids come up.
