futbol_11 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 my dad had a brain MRI done and found out that his cancer has spread to his brain. I've noticed lately that his speech has been affected by this. He starts his radiation today. Just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else, and if it goes away during your treatment. God Bless Quote
marym Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I have had mets, but not with symptons. So far I have been treated with Radio Surgery and now they are trying a brain chemo. Good luck. Mary Quote
sbf815 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 My friend's father died of lung cancer. He had mest. on his brain. His symptoms were memory loss and interpreting things wrong. I can't think of the word right now. Not hallucinate but ???. During the radiation this got much better. Quote
kamataca Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Mom's met had nothing to do with her headaches, etc--weird, since that is what sent us to get the scans. She had a very successful treatment with Gamma. Praying for good results for your dad. Kelly Quote
nikkala Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 My mom had some problems with speech but it went away pretty quick after starting radiation. Hope this is the same for your Dad. Hang in there. Quote
