Stable is a "good" thing!

Recommended Posts

Today I received the results of last week's CT scan -- everything is stable or slightly improved, and nothing new of concern has developed. Maybe not an earth-shattering report, but good enough to start my Avastin-only program, and definitely a relief at this potential turning point in my treatment. Some excerpts:

"Minimally decreased right hydropneumothorax with slightly less fluid in the right pleural space. No appreciable change in a 3.3 x 3.6 cm oval low dense necrotic mass or loculated fluid collection. No new adenopathy or nodule. Stable mediastinal lymph nodes which do not appear enlarged. Stable thickening of the left adrenal gland. No evidence of aortic dissection or pulmonary emboli."
