wondermom Posted February 7, 2007 Share Posted February 7, 2007 It was kind of a mixed bag today. Although the onc sounded like he was happy with the progress. He said there was significant improvement in the lungs but there was a small met on the liver and 2 small mets on the sacrum. Not necessarily progression there but we don't really know as this was her first scan. They added zoleta to her carbo/taxetore mix for the bones. Anyone have any experience with that?? We asked about adding Avistan but were told the risk of bleeding was too great because of the brain mets. Anyone have any thoughts on that? Have any of you been on Avistan who have had brain mets? As far as Zometa, Tony receives that once a month and has had no side effects from that. It has helped his bones, along with the chemo. If the oncologist is happy with the progress, then it is good!
