Lung Cancer Alliance Announces New Board Members

WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA), the only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to patient support and advocacy for people living with or at risk for lung cancer, announced the addition of three new members to their Board of Directors: elected Chairman Rear Admiral Philip J. Coady, USN (Retired);

Deborah Morosini, MD, sister to the late Dana Reeve; and Adrienne Halper,managing director of a private equity fund.

The new Board members replace outgoing members J. Steven Hart, president and CEO of Washington, DC law and government relations firm, William and Jensen, and Paul Bunn, MD, professor of medicine and director of the University of Colorado Cancer Center in Denver.

Rear Admiral Coady, the newly elected Chairman of LCA's Board of Directors, served with the Naval Service for over thirty years. His personal decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with five gold stars, the Meritorious Service Medal with one gold

star, and the Navy Commendation Medal with two gold stars, in addition to several foreign awards. Admiral Coady has served on numerous boards and has a background in finance and insurance. He resides outside of Washington, DC with his wife, Judy.

Deborah Morosini, MD is the sister of the late Dana Reeve. She received her medical degree from Boston University Medical School and completed her residency in pathology at Boston Medical Center. She currently works in the field of translational medicine. Deborah lives outside of Boston with her husband, Charles, and her two sons.

Adrienne Halper, former managing director of various private equity funds, brings her extensive financial knowledge to the Board. She received an MBA from the University of Chicago and an MPA from Harvard University.Adrienne currently resides in New York City.
