teriw
I'm on a mailing list for an e-newsletter published by Nexcura. I generally find it useless, but this article was interesting. It's stating the findings of a study that was done to determine the percentages of lung cancer in never-smokers, and the disparity in percentages between women and men. Here's the link: http://www.nexcura.com/Newsletter/eNews ... ewsId=2130
DrWest
I described the article in a bit more detail in a post on my website, if anyone's interested. It's here: http://onctalk.com/2007/02/13/lung-canc ... teristics/ The lead author of the article, Heather Wakelee, is a good friend and a rising star doing great things at Stanford. She's also leading one of the most important trials in post-operative treatment for lung cancer, a trial being run internationally asking whether adding Avastin to chemo after surgery improves cure rates.
