Beth R
Hi All, Well, my mom finished 2 rounds of chemo. She is getting chemo every Friday for 3 weeks, then one week off. She is not doing any better--using walker now. I managed to get her out of the house to get a manicure. The weather in Ohio is just too cold to do much, and besides that, there is not much to do. My mom is very tired, and wakes up in the middle of the night with pain. I go home on Sat., and will be back to the Midwest in April. I am hoping to get as much time as possible. She is eating pretty well. Fixing her smoothies, pot roast, and foods without carbs.
ernrol
Beth, Many people here have had a good response from chemo, but it can make you tired. Carboplatin and Taxol are used a lot. You will get plenty of support here. Keep us posted. Stay positive, Ernie

Kasey
Mom should not be in pain. I am sorry she is experiencing it. Prayers for all of you. Weather in PA is supposed or be MUCH better in the next few days. Hopefully Ohhio too and mom can get out a bit more. Kasey
Ann
Hopefully your mom's doctor can find something that will better control her pain. The good news is that she's eating well. It sounds as if she has a wonderful daughter to cook some really good dishes for her. I'm keeping your mom in my prayers!
