wendyr Posted March 27, 2007 Share Posted March 27, 2007 Hi Don: Maurice is in a trial with tarceva & avastin/placebo. We don't know for sure if he's getting the avastin but he's experiencing all the side effects of it, joint pain, muscle aches etc so we're reasonably sure he's on it. Wendy Posted March 27, 2007 Share Posted March 27, 2007 Hey Don - I was on the combo for 10 months. I took Tarceva daily, Avastin every 3 weeks and Zometa every 6. Eventually the Avastin was reduced in dose and then stopped all together. I HAVE HAD GREAT RESULTS WITH THIS COMBO!! There was at least one other patient with LC in my clinic that also had great success- last I heard he had been on the treatment plan for 11 months.
