Ann Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 What excuse would you give to get out of going to a party given by someone you didn't really like? Quote
ginnyde Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Have to babysit a grandchild. Using that excuse tonight to get out of a moment of temporary insanity. Quote
Ry Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 If I am lucky enough that it is soccer season I say that one of the girls has a game or something. Quote
Ann Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 Like Ginny, I can now use the babysitting excuse. By the way, it works like a charm. Quote
Larry Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Easy for me!! I'd just say no thank you and be on my way ..... Quote
Liz13 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Well, here's Liz being a pain in the a** again. Ladies, you don't need an excuse. Just tell them you won't be making it. Maybe they won't invite you next time!! Hugs, Liz Quote
Kasey Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Why is it always so simple for men???? Like Larry, Fred just says 'no' and moves on. I struggle every time. I have used the babysiting thing........and just saying I already have a previous engagement. Since everyone knows we have such wonderful neighbors, that is probably my favorite......having dinner with the neighbors. Aren't we all awful for doing this? Kasey Quote
myrnalu Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Id be babysitting and most times it would be true LOL Quote
Treebywater Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Sick kid, sick husband, sick me.... (this winter they haven't been excuses!) Quote
Don Wood Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Simple male answer: "No, thanks." No guilt. Don Quote
Shelley (MLC) Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I usually say I have out of town guests arriving...(of course there's always the worry that they'll tell me to bring them along)! Quote
Welthy Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I have a prior commitment. (But lately we can use Tony as an excuse that NOBODY questions! ) Quote
