My husband was diagnosed due to vena cava syndrome but no one has ever mentioned putting in a stent. Why do they think this is necessary?

Here is some info on superior vena cava. It seems like stents are "generally" not used on cancer patients. It seems as if radiation is usually used.

Have they tried radiation? Also I *think* it may depend where the blockage is. If other veins can not compensate for the blockage then maybe a stent is used. This is just a guess.

Again, I am not a Dr, but Ry may have a point. Might be time to ask another Dr
