Bev'sSister Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 My sister told me last night that she feels like she is sunburned on her back. It has been 3 weeks since her last radiation (28 rads)and now she is feeling like this. Is this normal? She did not ever feel this during her radiation treatment. She said it is bearable, but is there anything to be alarmed about? Quote
laban Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I don't think it's at all abnormal. Some people's skin is much more sensitive than others. An aloe cream is very helpful and soothing. My husband had a sunburn feeling on his chest, back and head, but being the macho guy he is, he didn't want any girlie cream on. Go figure. I hope she feels better soon. Laurie Quote
Nova Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 My husband's radiologist suggested he get a lotion called "Eucerin". It's over-the-counter (found it at Walmart). There are several different kinds , so I bought the "original". Maybe it would help soothe your sister's skin too. Take care, Nova Quote
