He found one he wanted to join and went inside to talk to the Abbot(head of the monks). The Abbot told him he was welcome and there was only one rule. Complete silence. Every 10 years he would be allowed to come and say 2 words. 10 years passed and the man went to the Abbot. The Abbot asked, What 2 words would you like to say. The young man said, “BED HARD!” Ok, said the Abbot. Thank you. 10 more years passed and the man went to the Abbot and said, “ FOOD COLD”! OK said the Abbot and watched the man walk back to his quarters. After 10 more years the man went to the Abbot and said, “I QUIT’! The Abbot shook his head and said, I am not surprised.
