Ann Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 What was the last movie you saw that made you cry? Quote
Larry Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 No movie has made me cry but some have choked me up. But if a movie ever came close to making me cry it would most likely have been the movie "OLD YELLER" or the Movie "Love Story" ...... Quote
J.C. Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Larry, Move over for ''Old Yeller'' Love animal movies but usually they get me in tears before I can smile again. Quote
ginnyde Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Namesake Go see Fracture, it is terrific. Don't waste your time on Next unless you like just ridiculous action. Quote
SherryNeedsToLaugh Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 The Notebook I don't like crying movies but perfer something that will make me laugh. It was a good movie though. Sherry Quote
Ann Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 Believe it or not, I cried watching Air Bud the other night. I have a golden retriever and I totally lost it when the little boy was trying to "lose" Bud because he didn't want his mean previous owner to reclaim him. So...animal movies really get to me, too. missyk Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Because Of Winn Dixie...watched it with my daughter and *I* was the one crying! (Yup, and before that it was Flicka...it's gotta be those animals!) Quote
rogfam Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 The Bridge to Terabithia.... OMG that's is a good movie, with a very unexpected event. Btw, it has the little girl from Because of Winn Dixie in it. Christy Quote
missyk Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 LOL...I'd almost forgotten about that! We watched Bridge in the theater when it came out (yup, cried like a baby at that one, too!) then rented Winn Dixie and the first thing out of my mouth was "I think that's the same girl!" I'm starting to think I just cry at movies. Quote
Ry Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 For me it should be what movie didn't make me cry. I have gone to movies though and just bawled, I mean cried like crazy-- once I had to go buy make up before we could go to dinner afterwards. That movie was one that didn't get much play called "The Spitfire Cafe." Quote
trish2418 Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Pursuit of Happyness - made me cry and made me a nervous wreck. Glad it all turned out well. Trish Quote
Kasey Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Teaching 6th grade for many years, I had the opportunity to view LOTS of movies for that age group. I agree The Bridge to Terabithia is a tearjerker fo sure. I would add Where the Red Fern Grows. I would read that each year to my students. I KNEW that story inside out, backwards, and upside down...........no surprises after many years. However, EVERY time I CRIED right there. I could always hear the kids whispering....."she's crying". Made for a very teachable moment and I found that there were more criers among us....just needed to hear it was okay to do so. Those are 2 great movies! Kasey Quote
dchurchi Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Steel Magnolia's does it every time. No matter how many times I have watched that movie I am a river of tears by the time it is over. Quote
