Yellow to green mucus could be a sign of infection.

Streaked, speckled with red, brown, or rust could be new or old blood.

Sometimes chemo breaks things up in the lungs where you begin coughing up sloughed off tumor material.

As long as it is not purple with yellow polka-dots, this is pretty typical for many lc patients. Drinking more fluids and even taking a mucus thinner may help get the junk out easier.

You DO need to call the doctor and notify him that this is happening, so he can treat it accordingly. Don't wait around -- you don't want to get pneumonia!
