VegasMomOf3
Hi there, The biopsy results say that Mom has non small cell cancer. The tumor is located in the lower part of the upper lobe of her left lung. The tissue taken from her lymph nodes show negative of cancer - is this a good thing?? Bless you all! Calintay
Well it sounds as if you guys are making progress. As far as her lymph nodes being clear that is a GREAT thing. Non small cell is the less aggressive of the two so it is not a good thing because no cancer is good but it is better than Small cell although we have many members with small cell who are doing awesome as well. Best of luck. Heidi
VegasMomOf3
Hi Heidi, Thanks for the response. I noticed in reading your profile that your Mom had her PET scan prior to her biopsy. Is there a certain method or oder that these are all done in?? Be Blessed, Donna
Adrian
I would expect that now that the biopsy is confirmed that she will get another round of PET/CT scans and probably an MRI so they get a better idea as to whether the cancer is anywhere else. However, it certainly is a good thing that the lymph node tissue they biopsied came out negative. Please keep us posted.
