lc46 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 We went to the Dr today for the results of my Mom's Cat Scan. Her lung is stable-nothing is growing-everything looks good. Her liver unfortunately has a 1.5 cm spot so she is going to start 2nd line chemo in a few weeks. She is going to visit her sister in Indiana on the 21st-and the Dr said that was fine to wait until then. We weren't expecting this news today. The Dr seemed confident and did say that he could also do radiation to the liver if needed. This radiologist is great. He likes to think out of the box-and with small cell it's nice to know noone is going to give up easily. Unfortunately it's back to our Doom and Gloom oncologist-thank god we only see her for a few minutes and all the nurses are wonderful happy people. Peace and Comfort to all of you. Dar Quote

Nova Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I was sorry to read about the liver met., but happy that the radiation doctor is a good one. It helps so much to have a decent doctor that you know is doing everything possible. Thinking good thoughts for you and your Mom, Nova Quote
teriw Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Hi Dar, GREAT news about the lungs being stable. Also a relief to know they can radiate the spot on the liver. Tell your mom from us to stay strong! Quote
