lilyjohn Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 My son told me something this afternoon that really shook me up. When he was in the Gulf war he had several really close buddys. There was one that he teamed up with and they always watched one anothers back. Well he just found out that that young man died of Lung Cancer. He was in his mid 30s. The doctor said that even though he did smoke he didn't think it was caused by that. My son believes it was something they were exposed to while over there. One more side to the Gulf War Syndrome. I'm not sure how much family he left behind but I know it really upset my son. They had been so close for a while. Quote
MsC1210 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Lillian I am so sorry to read this. Please extend my sympathy to your son for the loss of his buddy and know I will keep his friends family in my prayers. Christine Quote
kamataca Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 What a tragedy. Any time this @#$%@ disease takes someone, it is a crime against nature. To take someone who was willing to risk his life for others...it just isn't right. Kelly Quote
