RandyW Posted November 13, 2007 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Over 4,000 people took part in a charity run in aid of cancer research in Taipei on Sunday. The annual event was organized by the Terry Fox Foundation and this is the thirteenth year it has been held in Taipei. Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin and opposition Kuomintang presidential candidate Ma Ying-jeou were among the runners. A further 15,000 people around the country also took part in the first 1111 National Hiking Day on Sunday. Various events kicked off around Taiwan at 9am as part of the government's drive to get people in Taiwan to take more exercise. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
