peebygeeby
Hi there, I am very new to the issue of lung cancer. Have been snooping around the internet, and I am interested in knowing if any of you have had any experience with RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation) Who is a candidate for this type of treatment? Looking forward to your replies. Thanks, Gail
Patti B
Gail - I think there was some talk on www.onctalk.com about it. You might need to look in there archive section. If you haven't already checked out that site, you may want to. Dr. West is an internationally renowned oncologist who runs that site. Many of us here also ask questions on that forum. Patti B. Ry
Gail- Several members here have had good results with it. We looked into it for my husband but he was not a candidate. My MIL was thinking of doing this at the clinic in Alabama (Gulf Port?) and decided not to spend the money-- her insurance would not cover it, but some insurances do. Good luck.
