MRI / Bone Density Results for back pain

Recommended Posts

I have had lower back pain off and on for a few months ---and had an MRI and bone density test. The MRI revealed a fractured vertebrae caused by osteoporosis which was caused by the steriods (prednisone )that I have been taking for almost a year now. I am on 1000 mgs of Calcium and Fosamax. So ---now I have osteoporois at age 55 -- and can break a hip, and who knows what else. This, however, is better than the alternative.

---Hugs, Carly
