Milrite Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 HI, Diagnosed: Stage VI Non Small Lung Cancer. Went through Radiation and CEMO ( Taxol, Avantin,Corboplatin) At which time it seemed to knock the cancer flat.. Less than 3 months later it was back. It at this time has spread from the right lung to the left lung and the liver. Seems to be rather fast for a slow growth cancer. Is this normal? Anyone ran into this? It seems useless to get cancer knocked down and have it come right back as soon as the drugs are removed. Well any comment appreciated - Milrite Quote
Muriel Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 How terribly disappointing and discouraging. What does your doctor have to say about this? Maybe more chemo would help. I don't know, but I'm sorry for you and your situation. Muriel Quote
Connie B Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 As much as we want to believe and think that some chemo's and radiation will knock it out of us, it just doesn't always work out the first time around. BUT, don't give up hope just yet. There are lots more treatments that they can try on you. The one you were on, just wasn't for you. It's very dishearting, but you need to pick yourself up again, and go for round 2. Don't give up HOPE. It's not over till the fat lady sings. Quote
