kimblanchard
Does any one know of/heard of Iressa being prescribed to any one who was/is in a NED status? Or any published reference on such usage? Docs (even GPs) have the option of doing so, if that were their decision. Any info appreciated. TIA!! RAY A
All I can tell you is my doc talks about using it as a maintenance drug more than a treatment. Your doc may feel it will prevent it from coming back.
dadstimeon
Hi Jim, I’m starting Iressa in January. My doctor is using it as a maintenance drug more than a treatment since we have gotten the cancer under control. Might want to double check with your doctor as to why? Hope this helps. Peace, take care and God Bless. Guest Piermarie
My mother was put on Iressa after 3 different chemo drugs showed growth of cancer. Since she has been on the Iressa (end of Sept), her catscans have shown the cancers in her lung and liver to have gotten smaller. So, in her case it is being used as a treatment for right now and hopefully it will keep doing what it's doing..... Pier
