CaroleHammett
Salads are one of the healthiest dishes one can eat, but too often we counter the benefits of our salads by adding an unhealthy dressing. The following tomato vinaigrette is not only healthy, but simple and easy to make: Tomato Vinaigrette4 ripe tomatoes 1 shallot 1 cup extra virgin olive oil salt tabasco honey Combine tomatoes, shallot and olive oil in blender. Add salt, tabasco and honey to taste. CaroleHammett
Good point, Randy! Especially if you're from one of the southern border states or the state of Illinois. SandraL
I have now tried this salad dressing and it is delicious. Quite different from anything else. I went heavy on the tobasco (maybe don't do that on a chemo week) and put in at least 2 tbsps of honey...what a gourmet chef I am hey? I added left over steak to a salad and it went really nicely with that!
