Larry's Wife
We had Larry's service yesterday. It was really beautiful. Pastor did a wonderful job. One humorous note. Pastor called me a couple of hours before the service and told me to bring Larry's hunting rifle with me. As I was walking with the rifle through the vestibule, I got the most curious looks from everyone. So I told them, "No, I'm not here to shoot up the place, but honestly, how many funerals have you been to where a rifle is a part of the service?" It was an unexpected touch that Larry would have appreciated.
jaminkw
I'm sure that moment of humor made you feel closer to Larry. Hope the days ahead get easier, little by little. Judy in Key West
