Katie Mezera

Kathleen A. Mezera “Katie” (nee Johann), age 64, passed away on August 8th, 2008. She was born in West Bend on November 9th, 1943 to the late Werner and Margaret (nee Kohl) Johann.

She married Lawrence “Larry” Mezera on May 15th, 1965 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of West Bend. Katie retired from Osowski Accounting in 2007 after over 20 years of employment. She enjoyed gardening, doing crafts and sewing but above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Michele (Herb) Schneeberg of Campbellsport, Terri (Roger) Kutz of Kewaskum, Lisa Kaehler of West Bend; five grandchildren, Brandon, Cindi, Laura Beth, Herbie, and Ryan; four great-grandchildren, Keyanna, Aryanna, Lilyanna, and Grace; siblings, Barbara (Roger) Landvatter, Michael Johann, Mary (David) Wolf, Sherry (Dick) Prost; and a brother-in-law, Ken (Chris) Berkel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Sandy Johann-Berkel; niece, Jennifer Johann-Berkel; and nephew, Jeremy Johann.

The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th, 2008, at 7:00PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 12th from 5:00PM until time of service at 7:00PM. Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to The Alyce and Elmore Kraemer Cancer Care Center (1110 Oak Street, West Bend, WI 53095).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of The Alyce and Elmore Kraemer Cancer Care Center for their compassionate care.
