Flyman35 Posted August 19, 2008 Share Posted August 19, 2008 You are wearing a pair of shoes. They are ugly shoes. Uncomfortable shoes. I hate your shoes. Each day you wear them, and each day I wish you had another pair. Some days your shoes hurt so bad that I do not think you can take another step. Yet, you continue to wear them. You get funny looks wearing those shoes. I can tell in others eyes that they are glad they are your shoes and not theirs. They never talk about your shoes. To know how awful your shoes are might make them uncomfortable. To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them. But, once you put them on, you can never take them off. You realize that you're not the only one who wears these shoes. There are many pairs in this world. Some people are like you and ache daily as they try and walk in them. Some have learned how to walk in them so they don't hurt quite as much. Some have worn the shoes so long that they try not to think about how much they hurt. No one deserves to wear these shoes. Yet, because of these shoes you are a stronger person. These shoes have given you the strength to face anything. They have made you who you are. I was looking for some info on Esophageal Cancer for my coworkers brother-in-law and came across a post on a messgae board that had that in it. A members sister had sent it to her and it did not say where it originated. I just changed 1 word in it and posted it here because I thought it was good. Glad you liked it.
