shrimp
My Dad has started to complain of numbness in his legs and abdomen. When I touch the areas, he can feel me and they all move(Legs not abdomen!) He did have clots and was on bed-rest. He got up yesterday and walked 16 steps with the help of three people. He did tell the Dr. this AM. They were going to discharge him until they found out he couldn't without help. Anybody have family members with this numbness? shrimp
They have increased Dad's physical therapy and are arranging a bed in Brady (rehab). The Dr. said he could not guarantee that Dad would get better or stronger, but they were going to give it a try.

SandraL
hi Shrimp. It is so hard not to worry about progression. We all do. It could be just because he is weak. I hope he is relieved of the numbness soon and is able to get around better. Take care, positive thoughts and prayers your way Sandra
john
He was diagnosed with SCLC in June and has not received any treatment? Seems like there should be a full staging and as you said a bone scan. The elevated calcium could mean bone mets Good luck and keep pushing the Drs for answers and treatment
