shrimp
We have Dad at home and thanks to hospice, he now gets enough medication to be comfortable. The Dr. told us he has 3 weeks, tops. We found a large decubitus ulcer on his coccyx when we got him home. He is now paralyzed from around the belly button down. His left arm, the one with the rod for mets, is so swollen, it weeps. But he is comfortable and recognizes us and tells us he loves us. He still hallucinates, but it is less.
shineladysue
My heart goes out to you and my prayers are with your Dad and your family. I'm glad you have hospice to help you all. I don't have personal experience with hospice, but from what I have read from others they are a god send. Keep us informed and know that you are among people who understand. Hugs, Sue

daughter1974
I hope being able to bring your father home and hearing him say he loves you brings you some peace during this difficult time. I cannot imagine your emotions. I will keep you, your father, and your family in my thoughts. I wish there was more to say, but please know people are thinking and caring about you.
