Re Lung Cancer Awareness Month

Don't know where to put this but the moderators can move it if need be.

When I met with my onc at MDACC today, as I often do, I sang the praises of this website. Dr Tseng said I probably knew Nov was Lung Cancer Awareness Month. I didn't but assured her I was sure the site would inform me. She said the local media often ask them if they have a patient that would be willing to tell their story. She thought I would be great for it because I was a good example of successful treatment. I told her she knew I had no problem talking and gave her permission to offer my name. Nothing may come of it but if it does, you know I'll pitch our LCSC.

I got a proclamation from my states governor stating that Nov. was LC awareness month in Texas for 4 years now.

It's the first step is trying to raise awareness. Kind of a spring board in getting other things started.

I even petition the mayors in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to proclaim Nov. 1 (the date of my walk), lung cancer awareness DAY.

GOOD FOR YOU for offering to tell your story and get the word out about this disease and advocating for those touched by LC.
