Ann
The paparazzi in Hollywood are becoming more and more aggressive, often stalking famous celebrities 24-7. Do you think there should be laws preventing this behavior, or does it come with the territory?
Muriel
I agree with Katie, it comes with the territory. And laws to prevent it would be a violation of the First Amendment. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Maybe if fewer people were interested in the activities of the rich and famous, there would be less work for the paparazzi. Muriel
Ann
I definitely think that fame and fortune comes with a price and being followed and having cameras flash in your face is part of that price you pay for being a celebrity. Larry's Wife
I agree, but only to a certain extent. The paparazzi should have to stay so far away. Like 10-15 feet, anyway. And no touching of persons or personal property, or blocking a celebrity's exit from the "mad throng". I think many use common sense/courtesy, but it seems that quite a few push the envelope.
