Ann
How about an alphabetical recipe game? Any recipes, like A for Anise Cookies, B for Banana Bread, etc. and then you post the recipe for them here. It keeps going till we finish the alphabet, then we could start over at A. I'll begin: Apple Butter - Crockpot Style Put 3 quarts of apples, sliced thin, in a crock pot and cook overnight on high. Next morning, add 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 3 cups sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cloves. Cook all day on low. Tastes like old-fashioned apple butter that is cooked in copper kettle. You can use applesauce if you do not have time to prepare the apples. The crock pot makes it possible for apples to cook a long time without being stirred.
blueeye
Ok, I've got an easy Banana bread recipe. Prepare a yellow cake mix as directed on the box. Add three mashed bananas and nuts and bake in a bundt pan. Folks will drive you crazy asking how you got it so moist!
Larry's Wife
CHEESE OLIVE BALLS Preheat oven to 400° Ingredients (yield 30-70 depending on size of olives used) green olives (I use pimento-stuffed) 1 cup grated cheddar cheese 3 T soft butter ½ cup flour ¼ tsp salt ½ tsp paprika Blend cheese and butter. Stir in other ingredients to make a dough. Roll just enough dough around each olive to cover it. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before baking. This keeps the finished product from flattening out. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
