I come here every day to read how my brothers and sisters are doing but I cant take all the bad news lately before the hollidays. I think I gotta stay away untill after christmas. (I KNOW IT MAY SOUND SELFISH BUT I GOTTA DO IT FOR MY OWN SANITY)

LOVE YOU ALL AND WISH YOU ALL...HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND ILL SEE YOU AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR!!!!!

Ray,

NO apologies are necessary, and it is not selfish it is what is necessary to take care of you. We all need to take care of ourselves, not just physically but mentally as well.

I too have been having a hard time getting into any holiday spirit will all the recent bad news. My heart ached with Greg's passing. And then when I read about Lenny, it outright broke. I felt so close to Lenny, I cared about him so much and feel a deep sense of loss. But I need to try and appreciate each day and this holiday for my family and for my husband, and really also for me. You desearve the same.

We will be here when you are ready to return with open arms and eager ears for all the details of a well spent Christmas.

God Bless and Happy Holidays

I hear you, have been feeling the same way myself lately, the bad news has been staggering this past week or two. I still can't get over Greg's or Lenny's passing, they were so young and they went so quickly. May God be more merciful to us all in the coming year.

Dear Ray,

This is Karen C. I've been wondering about you. I see by your profile that your treatment is working! I'm so glad to see that!

You do what you need to do. Everyone understands!

By the way, Dave is doing GREAT, if that helps! He had a PET Scan and a CT scan and a chest xray, all within the last month or so, and although the doctor can't say for sure that he's cancer free (there's something in there but can't say if it's scar tissue or a tumor) he feels that he is. In any event, he's feeling good, which is what matters! So I hope that's a little bit of good news to help counteract the bad news. Dave probably hasn't posted too much about it because we're just not sure.

You have a wonderful Christmas!

God Bless,

Karen C.

Ray,

Take the holidays and enjoy!!

Some days I feel like that too.

Fortunately there's enough of us someone(s) usually has the love and energy and hope to field the ball for that day/time. That's the thing about a support SYSTEM... we take turns giving and needing....

a truly humbling experience in my opinion.

We are truly fortunate in our "family" here.

God bless us all.

Take care Ray and have a happy holiday. If you find you can't stand being off, you can take a peak back every now and then and look in the Good News section. Come and chat on Wednesdays.

You will be missed though.....

If I Could Catch a Rainbow:

If I could catch a rainbow, I would do it just for you, And share with you its beauty, On the days you’re feeling blue. If I could build a mountain, You call your very own, A place to find serenity, A place to be alone. If I could take your troubles, I would toss them in the sea, But all these things I’m finding, Are impossible for me. I cannot build a mountain, Or catch a rainbow fair, But let me be what I know best A friend that’s always there. Author Unknown
