Wennot Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 From the Change.gov website, for President-Elect Obama, they have a "briefing book." It is described below... "Share your ideas on any issue facing the new administration, then rate or comment on other ideas. The best rated ideas will rise to the top -- and be gathered into a Citizen's Briefing Book to be delivered to President Obama after he is sworn in." A friend has presented the following issue on the briefing book website: "Make the deadliest of all cancers, LUNG CANCER, history! " Her comments are eloquent as are the comments of the people who have cast a vote for this cause so far. Now we need YOU to go to this site and vote for it. You can copy and paste this note and email all your friends to vote for it, too. Ideas have to be the best rated to make it in the book that the President-elect receives. You do need to register at the site but it only takes a minute to register. If you can't find the issue after you register, type "lung cancer" in the search box and it will come up. Keep in mind, people can also vote it down, so we need to get plenty of affirmative votes. You may also vote down those that may be lower priorities for you, giving you "double" power to help this one surface...Can you help? It's easy...the briefing is at: http://citizensbriefingbook.change.gov/ ... 7800000004 m0H Quote
MsC1210 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 This is such a simple thing to do!! You will need to register and create a password, etc but it took mere seconds to take action! Every little bit helps and together we CAN and WILL make a difference! Christine Quote
Donna G Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I went there and poste my opinion on what should be done to diagnose lung cancer early and better treatment research. DonnaG Quote
Angie-in-SC Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I did too. Stephanie is such an inspiration! Quote
Wennot Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 Hello All, Everyone's participation in this is so encoraging. Make sure you go to the correct briefing: "Make the deadliest of all cancers, LUNG CANCER, history!" There is another briefing on lung cancer that is pretty much the same issue but I think that is just spliting the votes. It would seem best to stick with the original one that Stephanie started since it is picking up a lot of steam (2430 points)! Thanks! Quote
