Ann
Share one food item that best describes the last year of your life. (example: “frozen pizza” because I did a 180-degree turn this year, or “cinnamon roll” because it had lots of twists and turns but overall was pretty sweet)
ginnyde
Sauerkraut. A bunch of kind of crappe things happened in 2008, culminating in breaking my femur. 2009 is going to be everything sweet.
Ann
Well, goulash definitely comes to mind, as it seems everything has been thrown together and stirred up, with lots of spice thrown in over the past year...lol!
jaminkw
Since it was such a mix of postive and negative, I was trying to think of a dish with a mixture of ingredients. Beef stew came to mind first, I think because it's a little old-fashioned. One of the most positive things has been a return to old fashioned values like a new or renewed focus on family and old friends. Snowflake
The last year was like oatmeal, no highs nor lows that stick right out in my memory. This year, however, is like a spicy chili, starting right out with heartburn and wondering what will come out the other end!
