KatieB
Albeit slowly right now, we are getting recognition. The live webcast our group was invited to lets me know that we are touching people and getting noticed. I also received this response to my inquiry today and hoped to share it with you. This person is going to help get some publicity for us. (See, it's ok to ask even the wrong people, because chances are, they will KNOW the right people like this man below!) We would appreciate any help you might provide in raising awareness to our special group and our website. We receive over 1 million visits a week, we have officially 770 members and we would love someone to do a story on us- on our group and these heros fighting this disease. Making it "personal" makes it interesting to the public and that is one way to raise awareness and change the stigma attached to this disease. Thanks, Rick and Katie Brown Co-Director of LCSC, Director of Forum Moderators/Legal Affairs. President of LCSC-Texas Yes, I'd like your permission to forward your note to our contact at University Hospital which is affiliated with the University of Cincinnati. They would be a more appropriate venue for such a request. We are not medical writers. While our OR-Live site is a webcast portal for live surgeries which are then made available for on-demand playback, all of the medical information comes from the respective hospital's center of excellence. Since the surgeons typically are "best of class" the webcast truly presents medical procedures that offer enhancements in patient care.
