Wacky
Mom is Stage 3a on Carbo/Taxcol for 7 weeks along with daily radiation. After these treatments are done what will likely be the next course of treatment?
ginnyde
It will most likely depend on how she responds to these treatments. There does not seem to be a set course for all. I wish her well with her treatments.
beatlemike
Hi Wacky, not always but many times people who are stage 3a and undergo chemo or radiation or both are elegible for surgery if the treatment works well. Lets hope for that. Prayers Mike
recce101
You can get the best answer for this sort of question by visiting cancergrace.org (GRACE — Global Resource for Advancing Cancer Education). GRACE is led by Dr. Howard "Jack" West, a Seattle oncologist who is an internationally-recognized expert on lung cancer and who gives high priority to promptly answering questions online. A lot of us are "dual citizens" and have the same usernames there as here. Aloha, Ned
SandraL
Best wishes with your mom's treatments. Future treatments will depend on how she does and vary from patient to patient and from clinic to clinic. We will just pray that these first treatments do the trick. Please keep us posted on how your mom is doing. Sandra
