jean44 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Hi Everyone, Just wanted to give hope to those diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. Thom has had 7 treatments and two sets of scans. His first scans showed over 50% reduction in his tumors. Last week's scans showed a 61% reduction in the lymph node and a 30% reduction in the mass in his lung. We are just thrilled! He has been responding so well to treatment. His biggest issues come from fatigue. So, for the first Oncologist we went to see that said there was NO HOPE-well, he could sure take a lesson from Thom's current Oncologist. While I do know the realization of Thom's diagnosis, I also believe in God, hope and miracles and will continue to pray for the results we are getting! WOO-HOO! Time to celebrate! Jean Quote

jean44 Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 Thanks so much for everyone's responses. I appreciate your kind words. On a side note-the day Thom was diagnosed and we received all the doom and gloom from the first Oncologist he saw, we walked out of his office and knew we would get a second opinion. Thom said "we have more memories to make and I won't just sit down and let this defeat me"-he has kept his word. Jean Quote
